Full Moon Drum Circle (August)

We will gather in ceremony in an outside location upon the Grain/Lynx Moon to open sacred space for our monthly circles. Men and Women welcome.

Sharing using the talking stick, hearing and speaking our truth in a respectful way. Drumming, rattling and chanting.

Seeing and letting go of any emotions like sadness, anger and anxiety.

Steeping out of the head and dropping down into our heart space to open up to a different way of experiencing life. I work with Earth Wisdom and so for some circles there may be some activities to connect us with Nature and Mother Earth.

The circle is a sacred tradition used around the world. when we sit in circle nobody is in front of us, nobody is behind, nobody is above us and nobody is below us. We are all equal. Non judgement within circle gives us the freedom to express ourselves as our wild instincts will allow.

You would think a drum is a requirement but honestly drum, rattle, click sticks, a bottle with some rice in, or your hands and feet as they make good stamping and clapping sounds are all perfectly fine. Some things you will also need to bring are some warm clothes and sensible shoes, a blanket if it gets cold, something to sit on, a torch and a notebook and pen.

A respectfully ask that you do not consume drugs or alcohol before the gathering, as we will be going into ceremony.

You may wonder why I call this full moon the Grain or Lynx moon, I'll talk abouth the significance at the gathering, however I can tell you that the names I use for the full moons are those of the medieval names of our isles. The more commonly used names you hear nowadays actually refer to America and do not always represent these lands in the way our old names do.
